Griffin Trapp is the former investment wizard known (by some) as the 'Wolf of Hoyne Avenue'. Now having retired on a fortune so modest "you're gonna need a magnifying glass", he's found a new hustle - the somewhat obscure woodcraft called marquetry. Griffin's thoughtful assemblages of various hand-cut wood veneers tell stories often involving people, places, things, and ideas, evoking adjectives like 'nice', 'good', and ''interesting'. He considers his work a celebration of love and lumber, two of the most ancient and useful earthly resources. His compositions confront the viewer as both statement and question: I wood...wood you?
