From the artist: "I've battled to process my emotions of numbness throughout the previous few years. Even in the worst or happiest times of my life, I struggled to remain present, refusing to accept any of my feelings. This sense of numbness inspired my piece "Blue," in which I use the image of seeing a blue TV screen with nothing playing and subtitles saying "Is there more to this?" as a metaphor for how it feels to battle with numbness."
