“Isabella Kinnick is a self published artist whose practice involves the creation of a variety of self -published literature, art, comics, collage, print making and journalism working and living in Chicago. I Utilize bold colors, classic fine art techniques, and in-depth analytic theory and research to examine the ways in which I can create a narrative dimension that follows not only my journey of self-liberation, but also on a global scale. Transcending beyond what structures or systems dare to try to define what qualifies as art. Creating an archive told through my comics, collages, paintings, and prints. Seeking to flip the script of the capitalist, colonial, and patriarchal systems that have polluted our archives of memory. A constant alchemy of energy, creative passion. Demonstrating all the complexities that lie beneath the layers of marks that build off each other in a constant dialogue, dealing with themes of personal identity, love, and the over-saturation of image in our modern age.”
