I have an obsession with beauty.

This obsession leads me to compulsively create and I'm stuck daydreaming about it throughout the day. Just the thought of being able to capture beauty in it's purest form is what compels me to paint the human figure, especially the female. My work is an outlet I use to explore what is beautiful in me and has helped to evolve my inner definition of what I believe beauty truly is. I attempt to bring to life before the viewer's eyes, the slopes and the valleys of "her", whether it be the caverns produced by a clavicle, the tender peak of a nose or the rushing wave of her hips. I solely see shapes of color when I begin a piece, and with each shape that is formed, they combine together to unfold the mystery that the canvas or paper holds. Her. Every new work begins with a rush of emotion and yearning for my brush to take me just one step closer to immortal beauty.

This specific piece "Goddess" celebrates the divine female - she is unlike anything else here on earth or beyond. She is a mighty and glorious empress. She encapsulates what you think beauty is and redefines it, lying back in a blissful state, offering herself up as a vessel worthy of worship.
