Michelle Ecke is a Chicago-area artist who uses mixed media to create paintings that transport viewers into imaginative, child-like worlds through vibrant colors, tactile materials, and a combination of organic and geometric shapes.

She draws inspiration from childhood memories of storybook and movie imagery, as well as from visionary and outsider art. Her work blends the real and the surreal, forming dreamlike landscapes and alternate dimensions infused with fantasy and sci-fi motifs.
