Natalie Pivoney is a contemporary oil painter, curator, educator, and co-op member of Purple Window Gallery in Chicago, IL. Her work nostalgically captures Midwestern life, bar scenes, campus culture, and cluttered apartments through colorful, illusionistic oil paintings. She uses snapshots often taken on her phone during nights out to capture the vibe of a particular memory, and pushes around oil paint to play with the effects of light and color on everyday objects.
