My work lives in the tension between the visible and the felt; between bold, vibrant portraiture and sculptural forms shaped by geometry and psychological unease. I paint women with unapologetic color and clarity, using large brushstrokes to highlight the ambiguity of identity, presence, and emotion. Shadows are often cast in deep blues, a color I return to for its sense of mystery, melancholy, and depth.
In my sculptural practice, I build abstract forms that extend beyond their own borders, often spilling onto walls with colored lines that disrupts the space and challenges perception. These pieces are rooted in the language of nightmares: not just fear, but distortion, fragmentation, and the surreal logic of the subconscious.
Whether through brushstroke or structure, I am drawn to the edges, where painting becomes object, where beauty meets discomfort, and where a face or a form can’t quite be named.
