I grew up with realism, being pushed to ensure my images were accurate, precise and controlled. Apparently I found comfort in knowing when a piece was "right".

Things changed in a period of uncertainty in my life. One day I started to make a mess without forcing the paint into submission. Instead I let it lead the way. I found peace and the release in this process, and a funny sense of understanding in how to communicate differently in my relationships. There was a perfect connection what people were seeing rather than what I wanted to them to see.

Since this shift, my work has continued morph, pulling elements of many techniques and a few unhinged feelings to create what I am producing now. A really fun way to grow if you ask me.
